The doors of the Tunateca Balfegó on the Diagonal in barcelona are transferred to transport us to the sea, to the banks of red tuna, a sanctuary where you can taste a product that starred dishes and decor. The Creative Team is responsible for the project. You could say that the project simultaneously covers two different demands and complex: design a gastronomic space to promote red tuna as a product of quality, and to strengthen an international brand supported by five generations.

The blue room, the main one, it leaves us directly on the bottom of the sea thanks to a great curtain translucent, 5 meters tall, which obscures the shape of the local to turn it into a space undulating, organic and deep.

The spectacular sushi bar 5 meters long highlights under the great family of fish that ‘nothing’ on the diners.

The mise en scene, through a lighting organic with subtle movements and changes of intensity, you get the installation come to life. For its part, the ceramic tiles of the floor, designed specifically for this project, and developed by a family of ceramists local trapezoidal in shape and uneven colors, suggest a background of the sea to be more than adequate to the set designed by the designers.

In the room ronqueo, in reference to the name given to the cutting traditional and manual with tuna, interior design studio decided by an involute ceramic (tiles with trapezoidal shape of different shades), which make it a clean and aseptic. But also that semejara to one of the other parts of the bluefin tuna: their scaly skin bright, with shades of blue and silver. The counterpoint warm it gets the reddish hue of the wooden ceiling, perforated to improve the acoustics of the room.

In the attics of the Tunateca have ready two multi-purpose rooms connected to each other. Here, the materiality of the space is inspired by the flesh of the tuna, which is achieved using a wood in shades of red, intense, with grain, a very marked and placed in walls, floors, and ceilings. The feeling of comfort and well-being is also due to the perforation of the wood on ceilings and walls, something that makes this material available in an entire acoustic panel.

The counterpoint material we provide some panels gold metallic, sliding, which hide screens and open or close spaces depending on the needs. The main protagonists are the tables of reddish wood that they draw subtly a thorn gold.
