We come today to the interior and the exterior of Ona Hotels Terra in Barcelona. A space has been recently built by the firm of BXDarquitectura and has been involved on an aesthetic level by the team of architecture and interior design Isabel Lopez Vilata + Partners. The work of the study has focused on a careful design of the common areas that now look under a line of stylish, urban and very comfortable.

One aspect that we see nothing more to access the interior of the hotel, which received us kindly with your furniture and design. In fact, it is on the ground floor where we have used various aesthetic resources that have allowed them to create a the atmosphere of comfort and elegance relaxed to welcome the guest.

Throughout the hotel, the spaces are juxtaposed and are delimited by the distribution and the strategic position of its elements. “The distinct materiality to the pavement has been a resource that has allowed us to also emphasize the use of the spaces; the stone to the entrance and reception simulating the continuity of the pavement of the city, as well as the wood or parquet floor in the dining room for a feeling of greater comfort,” explained from the team of architecture and interior design.

Feeling at home is the motto of this project which aims that the user can feel as if you were in your own home when you make use of these facilities. To give with that point of comfort have used various resources with which to protect your intimacy and increase comfort.

A clear example of this commitment by the recollection, without losing sight of the elegance, it is the design of a piece of furniture that separates the lobby from the living area by acting as a filter and allowing each activity can be done in personal and intimate ways but always connected.

The light is another of the key elements in this work. The panels of felt vertical component placed along the windows act as protection of privacy from the outside at the same time providing acoustic comfort in the interior. To provide even more brightness, a large skylight that connects with the inner courtyard of the building acts as a great lamp over the reception area.

In addition to providing the comfort of a hotel, we cannot lose sight of that Ona Hotels Terra also features a great restaurant. In fact, it has a separate entrance from the street with the will to become a local gastronomic reference for the neighborhood. The placement of the circular bar is also strategic to delimit the area of the lobby and welcome to the on-site restaurant. The top of the bar is backlit to bring brightness to both spaces.

“As the core spinal restaurant we put the gueridón that in addition to complying with its support function to the waiters helps us to break the linearity of the placement of the tables”, confirms the study of interior design.

But not only that. Ona Hotels Terra is notable for its brilliance and functionality. Because the restaurant is framed by the windows of the street and the courtyard of the hotel; it’s got to provide the courtyard of the feeling of being in a place outside endowed with calm, but with a visual connection from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Although if you really want to enjoy the view of the city of Barcelona, then we must look to the outer covering of the plant ninth. Only there, the guest can enjoy the amazing images of Montjuic sheltered from the heat of the sun under the awning with different tones of earth.
