After a comprehensive reform of two years, H10 Hotels has reopened its H10 Imperial Tarraco 4-star-superior hotel in the city of Tarragona, located in first line of sea and next to the roman amphitheatre, one of the clear protagonists of the city.

The project has maintained the volume of the original building of 1963, but it has changed and restructured completely the interior spaces, creating rooms are more spacious, and giving a new face to the common areas. So, have been incorporated into the hotel new spaces such as the impressive terrace on the top floor with views of 360 degrees of the city, as well as new event rooms with views of the sea or the wellness center Despacio Beauty Centre.

The hotel is located in the city centre of Tarragona, near its main points of interest to discover their origins. A few meters away are the roman amphitheatre, the Cathedral of Tarragona, and a large part of the roman archaeological remains of ancient Tarraco. In addition, Tarragona is the main city of the Gold Coast, known for its magnificent beaches, and is located only 20 minutes drive from the theme park attractions PortAventura & Ferrari Land, ideal for families and adrenaline junkies.

The sea as the protagonist

The project of interior design and architecture of the new hotel has been carried out by the prestigious studio Lázaro Rosa-Violán, which has been chosen to the Mediterranean sea as a backdrop and main element.

The privileged position of the building, dedicated entirely to the coast, inspired by the idea of a ship moored in the port of the city. As well, the sea is present in all the rooms of the hotel through its colors more characteristic like blue and white, and materials such as fabrics in color cauldron and crafts mediterranean terra-cotta.

The nautical elements combine with large murals and sculptures inspired romanpresent in the common areas of the hotel and combining, thus, the two jewels of the city: the remains of ancient Tarraco and the Mediterranean sea.

When the guest enters the hotel it does so by an amazing reception with a stunning wall of terracotta and a large roman sculpture. On the same floor is the lobby, decorated with warm colours and getting a feeling cozy by the oak parquet interspersed with ceramic, the incredible natural light and the sofas and armchairs velvet in orange tones, which combine with the tables of white marble.

Thus, this common area is ideal for retiring to read or to disconnect.

The new H10 Imperial Tarraco has 144 spacious and bright rooms which are divided into Classic rooms, Classic Essential, Junior Suites Mare, Deluxe Mare Suites hotel Imperial Tarraco and a Honeymoon Suite.

As in the rest of the rooms, the rooms also have a clear mediterranean-inspired where the predominant colors are white and blue. The rooms are fully bathed in natural light and with views of the Mediterranean.

The high headboard of the beds, made with knots sailors, enhance the nautical look of the room, which is complete with graphic works devoted to the sea, wooden furniture and terraces furnished with soil hydraulic modernist style.

All rooms are equipped with all comforts: SmartTV, USB ports, a Nespresso machine, minibar, safety deposit box, air conditioning system independent, professional hairdryer, magnifying mirror and rain shower.
