In the heart of the Salamanca district –Diego de León 7– lands Sugarcane Restaurant and Wetbar, a new gastronomic proposal for los amates of international cuisine that comes complete with a current space, fresh and cozy atmosphere that invites you to enjoy from each of its corners.

Gastronomically, we thank you for your arrival to the passion of its owners for the kitchen and the restoration, the hunger of exploring and knowing the world, as well as discovering different cultures and learn from them. This is how is born Sugarcane, a reflection of that concern and love for the unknown.

“To hear them speak with the passion that they live for us it was easy to put it in a space”

Decoratively, the space conquest to the first. Decorated by the interior designers Patricia and Alejandra Pombo, like the letter, the decoration also reflects the explosion of ideas and experiences in the travels of the owners.

When you cross the threshold of your door framed by brick, you will discover that Sugarcane is divided into two different areas. The first is the Wetbar and his undisputed protagonist is the bar. Then your attention will descend on the printed fabrics, in its sophisticated old-fashioned paper adamascado and in its wonderful lamps of crochet that have been cast directly into our favorites list.

In the second space queen light and life thanks to a spectacular glass wall that overlooks the street Diego de León, and became synonymous with it. Well united to the floor to ceiling windows are the tables. Don’t be surprised if you feel that you are really on the outside even though there is a roof in the middle. It is the intent of the decor, the space remember to much-characteristics –and envied– terraces in madrid. Lanterns and garlands with various prints multiply this affection, and, in addition, they add an air of relaxed and unique.

The light, ever present, in this area takes the form of a trail of light warm that lights up and cycles through each centimeter of the glass to give that final touch cozy by making it a place even more special.

Not lack detail

As a curiosity, the frames old they are, rescued from the old hospital of O’donnell and frame the great façade of the restaurant. For its part, the floors are of wood combined with tiles and old microcement that take on the appearance of the carpet to frame and give prominence to the different corners.

We do not forget the ceiling, decorate is a trend this season, and do so in the area of the Wetbar. Here are of reed and pathways of white-washed wood, forming a drawing, give brightness to the local in addition to counter with the second area where the black ceiling, hides to highlight other details.
