Thinking in a second residence at the sea is almost synonymous to imagine a styling very seaworthy, with a high dose of blues, floors, and ceilings made of wood or many stripes for textiles. But these have been precisely the elements that Tinda”s Project has been avoided in this comprehensive refurbishment of a home in Empuriabrava (Girona). For Eve Table, interior designer and co-founder of Tinda”s Project, “the idea, in this case, has been break the stigma of the second vacation homes. and equip it with all the amenities and details that required a house for the whole year.”

The house is located in a residential area of Empuriabrava, built close to the beach and situated around an extensive network of canals, is clearly inspired by the venetian model. As in the Italian city, the owners of the houses of Empuriabrava have anchored in the door of his residence, small boats, something that, of course, makes it a popular destination for holiday of the Catalan coast, but the owner has not wanted to remark on the reform.

The idea, in this case, has been to break the stigma of the second vacation homes and provide him with all the amenities and details that required a house for the whole year

Avoiding the accent of the summer, the studio has managed to make a nod to mediterranean to the project, without being excessive, through a delicate set of very light colors next to a successful enhancement of the natural light that invades the three floors of the house. Thus, the combination color between the predominant white, gray very soft and the beige of the wood and the natural textures have contributed to create a climate of calm and relaxation, very slow, optimal for the second residence of a barcelona that he also wanted to equip an area of the house specifically to the practice of yoga.

And is that the use of the neutral shades and textures and natural finishes looks still more enhanced by the lightness and breadth that provide the open spaces and multifunctional to combine the different environments of the three floors of the home. In addition, the interior designers got this good dialogue between spaces using wall and separators glass, which facilitate the passage of the light and the shooting visual, as well as the choice of rungs flown to the open staircase.

A refuge for inner peace

Get a peaceful atmosphere, relaxed and natural, which invite the inner calmness and introspection has been the roadmap of this magnificent project, able to get off the revolutions just by looking at it from far away.

And is that, in addition to the clear space located in the basement and thought to the practice of yoga (with a floor covered by carpet), the house also boasts different outdoor spaces in the form of terraces and balconies that projected from the housing to the outside. The most remarkable, certainly, is the area of chill-out and relaxation located on a terrace-solarium with sea views, and a great deck chair placed next to a sauna.
